Billing via Helvetia Legal Expenses Insurance
If you have legal expenses insurance with Helvetia, Helvetia covers the costs of legal disputes. Depending on the insurance contract, this includes your own and the opposing party’s attorney fees, court fees, expert witness fees, witness fees, and any other procedural costs.
If legal expenses coverage from Helvetia is in place, Harlander & Partner Rechtsanwälte GmbH bills all costs covered by the insurance contract directly to the legal expenses insurance.

Free initial consultation
The first step in handling a legal matter with Helvetia Legal Expenses Insurance is a free and non-binding initial consultation. This takes place conveniently via video conference or telephone. This allows Helvetia policyholders to speak with an expert at short notice.
During the initial consultation for Helvetia policyholders, we determine whether we can take on the legal matter. Our attorneys have a broad range of specializations. Nevertheless, there are cases we cannot cover. In such cases, we are happy to recommend another specialist.
Power of Attorney
In the next step, we will send you the power of attorney. This already includes a note that a coverage request will be submitted to Helvetia as the first action and that we will await the coverage confirmation before commencing billable work.
Request for coverage
After receiving the power of attorney and the initial information about the legal matter, we submit a coverage request to Helvetia Legal Expenses Insurance based on this information. This service is also free of charge for Helvetia policyholders, even in the event of a denial of legal expenses coverage.
Confirmation of coverage
In the event of a coverage confirmation, Helvetia Legal Expenses Insurance covers the costs of the legal dispute to the extent of the insurance contract. There are often small deductibles or a limitation of cost reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.
Billing
Whenever possible, billing is handled directly with Helvetia Insurance, so that their policyholders do not have to deal with submitting cost reimbursement requests.
