Free initial consultation

The first step in handling a legal matter with LVM legal expenses insurance is a free and non-binding initial consultation. This takes place conveniently via video conference or telephone. This allows LVM policyholders to speak with an expert at short notice.

During the initial consultation for LVM policyholders, we determine whether we can take on the legal matter. Our attorneys have a broad range of specializations. Nevertheless, there are cases we cannot cover. In such cases, we are happy to recommend another specialist.

Power of Attorney

In the next step, we send you the power of attorney. This already includes a note that a coverage request will be submitted to LVM as the first action and that billable work will await the coverage confirmation.

Request for coverage

After receiving the power of attorney and the initial information about the legal matter, we submit a coverage request to LVM legal expenses insurance based on this information. This service is also free of charge for LVM policyholders, even in the event of a denial of legal expenses coverage.

Confirmation of coverage

In the event of a coverage confirmation, LVM legal expenses insurance covers the costs of the legal dispute to the extent of the insurance contract. There are often small deductibles or a limitation of cost reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.

Billing

Billing is carried out directly with LVM insurance whenever possible, so that their policyholders have no effort in submitting cost reimbursement applications.
