Billing via Generali Legal Protection Insurance
If you have legal protection insurance through Generali, Generali will cover the costs of legal disputes. Depending on the insurance contract, this includes your own and the opposing party’s attorney fees, court fees, expert witness fees, witness fees, and any other procedural costs.

Free initial consultation
The first step in handling a legal matter with Generali Legal Protection Insurance is a free and non-binding initial consultation. This takes place conveniently via video conference or telephone. This way, Generali policyholders can always speak with an expert at short notice.
During the initial consultation for Generali policyholders, we clarify whether we can take on the legal matter. Our attorneys have a wide range of specializations. Nevertheless, there are cases that we cannot cover. In such cases, we are happy to recommend another specialist.
Power of Attorney
In the next step, we will send you the power of attorney. This already contains the note that the first action will be to submit a coverage inquiry to Generali and that the chargeable processing will await the coverage approval.
Request for coverage
After receiving the power of attorney and the initial information regarding the legal matter, we submit a coverage inquiry to Generali Legal Protection Insurance based on this information. This service is also free of charge for Generali policyholders, even if legal protection coverage is denied.
Confirmation of coverage
In the event of coverage approval, Generali Legal Protection Insurance covers the costs of the legal dispute to the extent of the insurance contract. Often, there are small deductibles or a limitation of cost reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.
Billing
Wherever possible, billing is done directly with Generali Insurance, so that their policyholders do not have to deal with submitting cost reimbursement applications.
