Billing via IDEAL Legal Expenses Insurance

If you have legal expenses insurance with IDEAL, IDEAL covers the costs of legal disputes. Depending on the insurance contract, this includes your own and the opposing party’s attorney fees, court fees, expert witness fees, witness fees, and any other procedural costs.

Harlander & Partner Rechtsanwälte GmbH bills all costs covered by the insurance contract directly with the legal expenses insurance when legal expenses coverage from IDEAL is in place.

Process with IDEAL Legal Expenses Insurance

Free initial consultation

The first step in handling a legal matter with IDEAL legal expenses insurance is a free and non-binding initial consultation. This takes place conveniently via video conference or telephone. This enables IDEAL policyholders to speak with an expert at short notice.

During the initial consultation for IDEAL policyholders, we determine whether we can take on the legal matter. Our attorneys have a broad range of specializations. Nevertheless, there are cases that we cannot cover. In such cases, we are happy to recommend another specialist.

Power of Attorney

In the next step, we will send you the power of attorney. This already includes a note that a coverage request will be submitted to IDEAL as the first action and that billable work will await the coverage confirmation.

Request for coverage

After receiving the power of attorney and the initial information about the legal matter, we submit a coverage request to IDEAL legal expenses insurance based on this information. This service is also free of charge for IDEAL policyholders, even in the event of a denial of legal expenses coverage.

Confirmation of coverage

In the event of a coverage confirmation, IDEAL legal expenses insurance covers the costs of the legal dispute to the extent of the insurance contract. There are often low deductibles or a limitation of cost reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.

Billing

Whenever possible, billing is handled directly with IDEAL insurance, so that their policyholders do not have to deal with submitting cost reimbursement applications.
