Billing via Allianz Legal Protection Insurance

If legal expenses insurance is in place through Allianz, Allianz covers the costs of legal disputes. Depending on the insurance contract, this includes your own and the opposing party’s legal fees, court fees, expert witness fees, witness fees, and any other procedural costs.

Where legal expenses coverage from Allianz is confirmed, Harlander & Partner Rechtsanwälte GmbH bills all costs covered by the insurance contract directly to the legal expenses insurer.

Process for Allianz Legal Protection Insurance

Free initial consultation

The first step in handling a legal matter with Allianz legal expenses insurance is a free, non-binding initial consultation. This can conveniently take place via video conference or telephone. This means Allianz policyholders can always speak to an expert at short notice.

As part of the initial consultation for Allianz policyholders, we clarify whether we can take on the matter. Our attorneys have a broad range of specializations. Nevertheless, there are cases we cannot cover. In such cases, we will be happy to recommend another specialist.

Power of Attorney

In the next step, we will send you the power of attorney. This already includes the note that, as the first action, a request for cover will be submitted to Allianz and that the fee-based processing will await the confirmation of cover.

Request for coverage

After we have received the power of attorney and the initial information about the legal matter, we will submit a request for cover to Allianz legal expenses insurance on the basis of this information. This service is also free of charge for Allianz policyholders, even if legal expenses cover is denied.

Confirmation of coverage

In the event of a confirmation of cover, Allianz legal expenses insurance will assume the costs of the legal dispute to the extent provided for in the insurance contract. There are often small deductibles or a limitation of reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.

Billing

Where possible, billing is handled directly with Allianz Versicherung, so that its policyholders do not have to submit reimbursement claims.
