Billing via D.A.S. Legal Protection Insurance

If D.A.S. legal protection insurance is in place, D.A.S. covers the costs for legal disputes. Depending on the insurance contract, this includes one’s own and the opposing party’s attorney fees, court fees, expert witness fees, witness fees, and any other procedural costs.

If legal protection coverage from D.A.S. exists, Harlander & Partner Attorneys GmbH bills all costs covered by the insurance contract directly with the legal protection insurance provider.

Process with D.A.S. Legal Protection Insurance

Free initial consultation

The first step in handling a legal matter with D.A.S. Legal Protection Insurance is a free and non-binding initial consultation. This takes place conveniently via video conference or telephone. This allows D.A.S. policyholders to always speak with an expert at short notice.

During the initial consultation for D.A.S. policyholders, we clarify whether we can take on the legal matter. Our attorneys have a wide range of specializations. Nevertheless, there are cases that we cannot cover. In such cases, we are happy to recommend another specialist.

Power of Attorney

In the next step, we will send you the power of attorney. This already contains the note that the first action will be to submit a coverage inquiry to D.A.S. and that the chargeable processing will await the coverage confirmation.

Request for coverage

After receiving the power of attorney and the initial information regarding the legal matter, we will submit a coverage inquiry to D.A.S. Legal Protection Insurance based on this information. This service is also free of charge for D.A.S. policyholders, even if legal protection coverage is denied.

Confirmation of coverage

In the event of a coverage confirmation, D.A.S. Legal Protection Insurance covers the costs of the legal dispute to the extent of the insurance contract. Often, there are small deductibles or a limitation of cost reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.

Billing

Wherever possible, billing is done directly with D.A.S. Insurance, so that their policyholders do not have any effort with submitting reimbursement claims.
