Process with DEURAG legal expenses insurance
Free initial consultation
The first step in handling a legal matter with DEURAG legal expenses insurance is a free, non-binding initial consultation. This can conveniently take place via video conference or telephone. This means DEURAG policyholders can always speak to an expert at short notice.
As part of the initial consultation for DEURAG policyholders, we clarify whether we can take on the matter. Our attorneys have a broad range of specialisations. However, there are cases we cannot cover. In such cases, we will be happy to recommend another specialist.
Power of Attorney
In the next step, we will send you the power of attorney. It already includes the note that, as the first action, a coverage request will be submitted to DEURAG and that we will wait for the confirmation of coverage before commencing chargeable work.
Request for coverage
After receiving the power of attorney and the initial information about the matter, we submit a coverage request to DEURAG legal expenses insurance based on this information. This service is also free of charge for DEURAG policyholders, even if legal expenses coverage is denied.
Confirmation of coverage
If coverage is confirmed, DEURAG legal expenses insurance covers the costs of the dispute to the extent provided for in the insurance contract. Often, there are small deductibles or a limitation of reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.
Billing
Where possible, billing is handled directly with DEURAG insurance, so policyholders do not have to submit reimbursement applications.
