Billing via ÖAMTC Legal Expenses Insurance
If legal expenses insurance is in place through ÖAMTC, ÖAMTC covers the costs for legal disputes. Depending on the insurance contract, this includes your own and the opposing party’s legal fees, court fees, expert witness fees, witness fees, and any other procedural costs.
If legal expenses coverage is provided by ÖAMTC, Harlander & Partner Rechtsanwälte GmbH bills all costs covered by the insurance contract directly to the legal expenses insurance provider.

Free initial consultation
The first step in handling a legal matter with ÖAMTC legal expenses insurance is a free and non-binding initial consultation. This takes place conveniently via video conference or telephone. This ensures that ÖAMTC policyholders can always speak with an expert at short notice.

Power of Attorney
In the next step, we will send you the power of attorney. This already contains the note that the first action will be to submit a request for coverage to ÖAMTC and that we will wait for the confirmation of coverage before proceeding with any billable work.
Request for coverage
Upon receipt of the power of attorney and the initial information regarding the legal matter, we submit a request for coverage to ÖAMTC legal expenses insurance based on this information. This service is also free of charge for ÖAMTC policyholders even if the legal expenses coverage is declined.
Confirmation of coverage
In the event of a confirmation of coverage, ÖAMTC legal expenses insurance covers the costs of the legal dispute to the extent of the insurance contract. Often, there are small deductibles or a limitation of cost reimbursement to out-of-court or court costs.
Billing
Whenever possible, billing is handled directly with ÖAMTC insurance, so that their policyholders do not have the burden of submitting reimbursement claims.
