Fee

Our services are billed in criminal proceedings in always according to the lawyers’ tariff. We will be happy to provide you, as part of our free initial consultation, with an overview of the expected fees.

IMPORTANT: If there is no legal expenses insurance cover, we invariably charge an advance payment of at least €750.00 (including VAT) in criminal matters to secure our fee.

IMPORTANT: Criminal defence on the basis of legal aid (Verfahrenshilfe) or assistance with legal costs is not possible at our firm. Persons without sufficient income must submit an application for legal aid (Verfahrenshilfe) directly to the court and will then be assigned a lawyer for their criminal proceedings in .

Reimbursement of defense costs

Fortunately, the law provides for a reimbursement of defense costs in the event of the discontinuance of the investigation proceedings and, staggered according to the competent court, in the event of acquittals in the main proceedings:

• Discontinuance of investigation proceedings: up to €6,000.00
• District Court up to €5,000.00
• Single judge at the Regional Court up to €13,000.00
• Court of Lay Assessors or Jury Court up to €30,000.00

The maximum rates can be exceeded by 50 percent in complex proceedings and by 100 percent in proceedings of extreme scope.

Legal Expenses Insurance

We will be happy to request coverage from your legal expenses insurance for representation in . If your legal expenses insurance provides coverage, we will bill our fees directly to the insurer.

Video conference

Our law firm is completely digitalized. In everyday life, we work almost exclusively via video conference.

This means: you can usually discuss your criminal matter with our criminal defence lawyers for face to face on the same day. You will always receive an appointment at short notice and save travel time.

Of course, cooperation via telephone or personal appointments at our law firm locations are also possible as an alternative.
