Lawyers’ Tariff Act
The Lawyers’ Tariff Act regulates the remuneration of lawyers in all civil proceedings as well as in parts of criminal proceedings (private prosecution proceedings and private participation).
Further information is available on the page >Lawyers’ Tariff Act.
General Fee Criteria
The General Fee Criteria supplement the Lawyers’ Tariff Act in several respects and specifically provide criteria for remuneration in other criminal proceedings and administrative proceedings.
Further information is available on the page > General Fee Criteria.
Fee Agreement
It is also possible, of course, to conclude an individual fee agreement with the lawyer – e.g., in the form of an hourly rate or a flat fee.
Standard Procedure
In practice, proceedings before courts and authorities are usually billed according to the Lawyers’ Tariff Act or the General Fee Criteria. For services such as the drafting of contracts, where the effort involved can be estimated with considerable accuracy, a flat fee is usually agreed upon.
In any case, the method of calculating the fee, e.g., during our initial legal consultation, is agreed upon in advance, so that you always know what costs to expect.
