It’s that Simple:<\/h2>\n\n

If a competitor violates your rights, competition law grants you a legal claim to cease and desist<\/strong> and publication<\/strong> in almost all cases.<\/p>\n\n

In the first step, this claim is asserted with a lawyer’s letter of demand<\/strong>. If the competitor does not react to this, the claim will be enforced through the court<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

In the best case, this only takes a few weeks.<\/p>\n\n

It Gets Even Worse:<\/h2>\n\n

The competitor must make the publication where he made the untrue statement:<\/p>\n\n

Website<\/p>\n\n

Facebook profile<\/p>\n\n

Magazines<\/p>\n\n

Daily newspaper<\/p>\n\n

That can be really expensive. <\/strong>Discount? None! Newspapers charge exactly according to the advertising rate for court-ordered judgment publications. The \u201ccustomer\u201d has no choice anyway.<\/p>\n\n

How long and how often the publication has to be made depends on the individual case. For publications on websites, a duration of one to three months<\/strong> is common.<\/p>\n\n
